CEO, BIA Controls
I joined MEDCO in 2000, was promoted to Vice President in 2005 and became President in September 2009. During my tenure as President, and despite several years of difficult economic conditions, we tripled in size to an enterprise revenue of $280M. I identified and managed all M&;A activity, established online capabilities to drive customer engagement, refocused the corporation around customer segments, and oversaw the expansion of warehouse distribution locations across North America. The organization was sold to United Stationers (rebranded as Essendant) in 2014. I served as the President of the Automotive division for Essendant from 2014 to 2020 and assisted in the carve-out sale of the Automotive division to One Equity Partners.
Currently, I’m managing BIA Control, a pre-revenue start-up (https://www.biacontrols.com/), in developing a scalable energy solution that logically prioritizes/sheds loads to reduces peak demand and costs while automating shutdown of key facility equipment/lighting and capturing temperature trends. I also participate on numerous boards and am an active investor. Prior to joining MEDCO, I spent seven years in Clinical Development/Operations at Schering- Plough Research Institute (now Merck), holds several patents for the development of global clinical trial management information systems, and was instrumental in the development of many new medications commercially available worldwide.
