Director of Lacrosse & Community Operations, Philadelphia Wings (NLL)
Bari Pasternack is the Director of Lacrosse & Community Operations for the Philadelphia Wings (NLL). In this role at Comcast Spectacor, Bari oversees the Wings’ youth lacrosse and community initiatives, partnering with local teams and organizations to grow the game of lacrosse across the region. Bari also manages Wings player and mascot appearances and oversees a team that handles all player-related logistics. Prior to her time with the Wings, Bari served as Director of Social Responsibility for the Dallas Wings (WNBA) and Panther City Lacrosse Club (NLL), where she was a key leader in launching PCLC, the first- ever professional sports team in the Fort Worth Market. In her time with the organization, Bari was responsible for all player and partnered community activations from ideation through execution.
She also previously served as Senior Coordinator of the Charlotte Hornets Foundation (NBA), where she executed high-level initiatives with both corporate and nonprofit partners and was a member of the organization’s Diversity and Inclusion Council. The scope of her role included launching a month-long celebration of Civil Rights Activists, the Greensboro Four, creating a Minority-Owned pitch competition which propelled participants’ social and economic capital, and managing a grant portfolio rooted in increasing equitable access. In Dallas and Charlotte, Bari was responsible for launching programs specifically targeted at growing the game for girls through “Her Time to Play” and “Nike Game Growers”. In addition to her roles in multiple major sports organizations, Bari was selected as one of 30 mentees across the country as a part of the Sports Business Journal “Game Changers” initiative.
Bari served as a board member for the Charlotte Association of Fundraising Professionals and as a member of the Charlotte Big Brothers Big Sisters Young Professionals Leadership Council. Bari grew up in Miami, Florida before moving to Winston-Salem to attend Wake Forest University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts before earning her Master of Arts. While in Charlotte, Bari continued her education by receiving a certificate in Project Management from Wake Forest.
