Engineering Specialist, Merck
My name is Jacob Fischer and I live in the Logan Square area. For my full time job, I am an engineer in vaccine manufacturing at Merck, and have been there for the past 6+ years. I obtained my BS in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University in 2018 and my MS in Biotechnology Enterprise and Entrepreneurship from Johns Hopkins University in 2024. I am very passionate about what medicine and vaccines can do to save lives and really enjoy working in the industry. Aside from my day job, my business partner and I have been getting into real estate, specifically investment properties in the Philadelphia area. We acquired our first property in 2022 and are looking to expand our business – it is very exciting learning the ins and outs of real estate, as I come from an educational background not related to it at all! Outside of work, I am a huge Philadelphia sports fan, enjoy finding new restaurants to eat, living an active and healthy lifestyle, as well as spending as much time with family and friends as I can.
